সন্তানের নামকরণের ইসলামী বিধান ও এর গুরুত্ব: প্রেক্ষাপট বাংলাদেশ|Directives of Islam in Naming Child and it’s Significance Perspective of Bangladesh

Abstract
Every child has the inherent right to have an appropriate name. It is essentially the religious and moral responsibility of parents to name their children properly. Despite having rich Islamic cultural heritage Bangladeshi Muslims, to a certain extent, follow other alien cultures to name their children. Pedantically considering this milieu this research paper elucidates the significance of naming new born child in Islam and the real landscape of Bangladesh in this regard. This article substantially demonstrates that Islam has enumerated detailed guidelines regarding naming of child. But those guidelines are not appositely followed in naming a good number of children in Bangladesh. Lamenting on this the author urges for more awareness of parents and guardians in naming children. সারসংক্ষেপ: একটি সুন্দর নামে ভূষিত হওয়া প্রতিটি শিশুরই জন্মগত অধিকার। সন্তানের সুন্দর নামকরণ পিতামাতার ধর্মীয় ও নৈতিক দায়িত্ব। বাঙালি মুসলমান এই জাতিকে বিশ্বের তৃতীয় মুসলিম সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ দেশের আসনে বসিয়েছে। তাদের শক্তিশালী ইসলামী সংস্কৃতির পটভূমি থাকা সত্ত্বেও সন্তানের নামকরণের ক্ষেত্রে তারা অন্যান্য ক্ষতিকর সংস্কৃতির অনুসরণ করে থাকে। এ প্রেক্ষাপটকে সামনে রেখে আলোচ্য প্রবন্ধে ইসলামের আলোকে নবজাতকের নামকরণের গুরুত্ব এবং বাংলাদেশে এর চর্চা সম্পর্কে আলোচনা উপস্থাপিত হয়েছে। বর্ণনা ও বিশ্লেষণমূলক পদ্ধতিতে রচিত এ প্রবন্ধ থেকে প্রমাণিত হয়েছে, পূর্ণাঙ্গ জীবন বিধান হিসেবে ইসলাম নবজাত শিশুদের নামের ক্ষেত্রে নির্দিষ্ট নীতিমালা প্রদান করেছে। কিন্তু অনেক মুসলিম সন্তানের নামকরণের ক্ষেত্রে সে নীতিমালা প্রতিভাত হয় না। সন্তানের নামকরণের ক্ষেত্রে তাই আরও সচেতনতা প্রয়োজন।
