Abstract
A war in Republic of Srpska started soon thereafter, counsing widespread destruction and loss of life. The war had significant consequences for the country. In addition to the material destruction and loss of life, there was considerable social disruption and a decline in standards of living. In parallel with the process of recovery from the war, the country has also been attempting to make the transition to a market economy.
