Social representations of power insociology students and workers in the port city of Mar del Plata (2011-2015)

Abstract
This article describes and analyzes how sociology students at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata and fishing industry workers, represents and evaluates quanta of power ascribed to politicians, cultural personalities and businessmen. Those collective representations and ideas about power seems to be a clash and disputed imaginary territory, which let us recognize where and how social structures crystallized representations and moral statements. The article also discusses theoretical, methodological and epistemological problems of empirical research of power. Empirical research methods, requires developing increasingly precise instruments, highlighting strengths and weaknesses of research progress.
