SA8000 is one of the world’s first auditable social certification standards for decent workplaces, across all industrial sectors. Those seeking to comply with SA8000 have adopted policies and procedures that protect the basic human rights of workers. It is well-known and introduced in many entities around the world. In Poland small number of companies has implemented its principles and received a certificate of conformity. The aim of this article is to present issues that SA 8000 standard takes into account and the analysis of global implementations.
