Software Assisted Alternative Transportation Solutions in Heavy Traffic Areas

Abstract

In this work, it is tried to find an alternative solution for traffic problem which is a suffer for especially people who live in big cities. Google Maps Api v3 library capabilities are used for explained solution. Instead of the traffic layer of this application which could not serve in Turkey, instant traffic data coming from sensors which are in predefined places are analyzed. A system serves to users with smart phones or computers which has an internet connection and which gives a path or alternatives to users that they can go between two points with the smallest time is designed. With this system, people can travel without tangling up traffic which depends on traffic intensity.
