SOME CONCEPTIONS ON THE IMANENT SOURCES OF EUROPEAN UKRAINIAN CULTURE CREATION FROM THE LATE MIDDLE AGES AND BAROQUE TILL NEW WORLDVIEW-AESTHETIC TENDENCIES

Journal Title: Scientific journal «International Journal of Philology» - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 272

Abstract

The author of the article focuses on the problems that are clearly connected with the theoretical-problematic complex of studying the Latin literary classics in the context of ideas and semiotic universals of the Ukrainian Late Middle Ages and Baroque. The national spirituality, which had manifested itself with its particular strength in the worldview-existential semio-sphere of the Late Middle Ages and Baroque, was among the first principles of the ancient Greek and Roman sources, which were extraordinary and large-scale assimilated due to their profound study by Ukrainians in European universities during Renaissance, and later in domestic Fraternal schools, colleges and academies. The creative world of antiquity and, in fact, the works’ poetics of ancient speakers, rhetoric, poets, playwrights, writers, combined with the spirituality of the Christian world, had been transposed to the national value-semantic discourse, and it forms the basis for the Ukrainian cultural development and the creation of Ukrainian national identity from the ХVI-ХVІІІ centuries till now. The link between the antiquity of the ancient Greek-classical times and Renaissance and Baroque became the Latin language as an universal language-semiotic discourse, which was equally relevant, and therefore was equally fruitful and creative both in ancient and medieval Renaissance Europe, as well as in Ukraine of the XVI- XVIII centuries. In connection with the foregoing, the author of the article conducted a scientific analysis of the influences of ancient and early medieval philosophy, poetics, aesthetics, literary creation, written or translated into Latin, on training-disciplinary, scientific-educational, general cultural processes of personality formation in Ukrainian schools and Collegues of the Late Middle Ages and Baroque. A thorough basis for conducting the proposed research was the works of ancient notionalists, rhetoricians, literary artists, and the works of the modern Ukrainian theologian, philosopher, linguist Metropolitan Epiphanius (Dumenko) who developed the system which was necessary for contemporary humanitarian disciplines, for studying the rich and varied heritage and achievements of the Baroque of the native literature and culture flourishing, its large-scale actualization in the social-humanitarian discourse of the XXI century.
