SOME QUESTIONS OF THE ORGANIZATION OF THE REFERENCE AND BIBLIOGRAPHIC APPARATUS IN THE CENTRALIZED LIBRARY SYSTEMS OF THE AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC (1980–2000)

Abstract
The article reveals the features of the of centralized library systems of the Republic of Azerbaijan. There examined topical issues of activity, features of the bibliographic aid of the centralized library systems of the Republic of Azerbaijan, modern methods of library and bibliographic services. Suggestions and recommendations for updating these directions of library activity are given. The creation and further improvement of an information-structured society is directly connected with communication systems, with the processes of receiving, processing and providing information. Library systems, including centralized ones, should be more intensively involved in the dissemination of information among all members of society, since it is libraries that play a leading role in preserving and transmitting information from generation to generation, in meeting the information needs of society.
