Specificity of the lubricating oil operation in the refrigeration compressors
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2010, Vol 231, Issue 3
Abstract
Generally, in compressor refrigeration systems, compressor oil mixes with refrigerant. This deteriorates the thermodynamic properties of the refrigerant and protective (tribological) properties of lubricating oil.

This paper presents the oil-operating environment in refrigeration compressors as well as reasons for compressor element damages arising mostly in the effect of unfavourable properties of oil contaminated with refrigerant.

ANALYSIS OF POWER LOSSES IN THE MESHING OF A TOOTHED CYLINDRICAL GEAR LUBRICATED BY THE IMMERSION METHOD
In the paper the results of the theoretical analysis of power losses generated in the meshing of toothed cylindrical gears lubricated by the immersion method are presented. The initiations of oil in meshing were introduc...
ANALYSIS OF MICROMECHANICAL AND TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF nc-WC/a-C AND nc-WC/a-C:H NANOCOMPOSITE COATINGS
In the article, micromechanical and tribological properties of nanocomposite coatings nc-WC/a-C and nc-WC/a-C: H were presented. Coatings were deposited by magnetron sputtering on baseline and oxigen-hardened Ti6Al4V tit...
Capacity enhancement in HDD conical micro-bearings
This paper presents a method of pressure and carrying capacity calculation in slide conical micro-bearing occurring in HDD computer discs. The authors compare they’re own results of pressure and capacity distributions wi...
THE EFFECT OF OIL POCKETS ON THE SEIZURE OF A FRICTIONAL PAIR: STEEL–BRONZE
The paper shows the examples of cylindrical surfaces with oil pockets created in Rzeszów University of Technology, Department of Manufacturing Processes and Production Organisation. Possibilities of improvement in seizur...
TESTING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ANTISCUFFING FLUIDS USED DURING THE TRANSPORT OF BOTTLES ON CONVEYORS
During transport on conveyor, glass bottle surfaces are damaged on their surface of contact. Wear traces in the form of rings arise. Counteracting this process involves, in particular, the use of antiscuffing fluids. The...
