Journal Title: Stanley Medical Journal - Year 2016, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
Hydatid disease is endemic in farming areas but occurs worldwide. The most common site of disease is the liver, followed by the lungs, kidney, bones and brain. Other sites such as the heart, spleen, pancreas and muscles are very rarely affected. We present the case of a elderly male with concomitant splenic Hydatid cyst which was managed surgically by splenectomy.
