SPORT IN OUR SOCIETY

Abstract
Sport is an important life in our daily life. The sport is connected to all the major spheres of social life: family, economy, mass-media, politics, education and religion. The relation between sport and society is in a permanent change and it evolves according to the historic and political conditions; likewise with all the new changes produced at government level, mass-media, religion and family and regarding the new ideas about masculinity and femininity, race, ethnic group, sexual orientation and physical abilities. In Romania, running is the most practised sport (61% have chosen to practice this kind of sport).
