Abstract
In the scientific article, the author studies the legal nature of the consumer contract. In this paper, using the analysis of scientific literature and the current legislation the author proposes the concept of consumer contract and carries out research of features inherent in this type of contracts. In the article author reveals a number of disadvantages in the legal regulation of the definition of a consumer contract and presents proposals for their elimination.
