ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ МІЛІЦІЇ УКРАЇНИ ЩОДО ПРОТИДІЇ ОРГАНІЗОВАНІЙ ЗЛОЧИННОСТІ НА ЕТАПІ СТАНОВЛЕННЯ НЕЗАЛЕЖНОЇ ДЕРЖАВИ (ІСТОРИКО-ПРАВОВИЙ АСПЕКТ)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the investigation of the main stages of the formation and activity of the police of Ukraine in the fight against organized crime at the stage of the formation of an independent state (1991−2000). It is analyzed the ciminogenic situation in the country after gaining independence, reasons and conditions for the formation of organized crime. It is described the main components of the legal framework for ensuring the activities of the special police units of Ukraine to combat organized crime. It is traced the main stages of the formation, and improvement of the organizational and staff structure of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The main forms and methods of the units for combating organized crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are highlighted, and it is shown the changes in the tasks and functions of their structural units during the investigated period.
