Sprawy dyscyplinarne Władysława Seredyńskiego (1841– –1893) – nieznana karta z dziejów nauczycielstwa galicyjskiego

Abstract
The archive search at the Central State Historical Archives in Lviv made it possible to find the records of the disciplinary proceedings instituted by the Land Education Council in Lviv against the co-founder of the Polish history of upbringing and one of the best known teachers in Galicia, Władysław Seredyński. Presenting unknown facts from the life of Seredyński makes it possible to describe his personality more precisely, and to understand his relations with educational authorities, and also the cause of criticizing the school books the author of which was Seredyński better. Therefore, this paper completes the gap in research into the scientific and professional output of Seredyński, provides more information about his position in the community of teachers in Galicia in the period of autonomy, and it also provides more insight into the reality of the functioning of schooling in Galicia
