Stacje graniczne Sassnitz (1 435 mm) i Sassnitz–Mukran (1 435/1 520 mm) w Niemczech

Abstract
The Sassnitz-Mukran station in Germany, located on the east coast of the island of Rügen on the Baltic Sea, is the DB station equipped in a 1 520 mm track network. The Sassnitz harbor is the Baltic one classified as third in Germany in terms of the transhipment volume. Due to its location, the Sassnitz-Mukran port is used for sea transport between Germany and Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Baltic States and Russia. The depth of the fairways - 10.5 m in the port allows to moor all ships operating in the Baltic sea. There was a night passenger connection Berlin-Malmö (the rolling stock was provided by SJ) until 2014. Wide-gauge cars are transported to the harbors in Klaipeda in Lithuania and Baltiysk in the Koenigsberg Region and Ust-Luga near St. Petersburg in Russia. This connection is used only in freight traffic, passenger transport has never existed.
