Analiza symulacyjna wielkości przewozów dla kolei dużych prędkości w Polsce

Abstract
In the article a methodology of forecasting passenger transports used for the high speed railway system in Poland and in international connections to Berlin and Prague was described. These analyses are a base for comparing expected costs and benefits. Benefits in transport investments result mainly from the income from transit activity. Accepted methodology and tools choice for transit forecasts have a key importance for the evaluation of the investment effectiveness and possibility of its financing from EU funds. For the purposes of analyses a schematic model taking into account cities, where stopping the high speed trains on the high speed railway lines was predicted and catchment area was included, from which travelling by these trains thanks to easy connection to these lines will be possible were taken into account. Performed analyses showed effectiveness of planned investments resulting from projecting sufficient amount of passengers being able to use the new quality of transport service.
