Statistical analysis of qualitative changes in industry

Abstract
The article deals with the technological aspect of economic activity of processing enterprises of the Ukrainian industry. The official statistics were used as the information base of the study. The theoretical analysis showed low economic efficiency of industrial enterprises and the absence of prospects for their intensive development while maintaining inertia, the existing level of material and technical base and technologies. The technological backlog of industrial enterprises is reflected in the socio-economic consequences and the situation in the whole economy. The hypothesis that under such conditions new adaptive possibilities of adaptation of industrial enterprises to objective realities mature is expressed. These adaptive possibilities are related to the concept of "qualitative changes in industry" and are defined by the technological, social and market components. It is substantiated that the acquisition of qualitative changes is due to the accumulation of quantitative ones. The subject of research for the identification of qualitative changes was chosen the technological component. Its content includes indicators of the use of the main productive resources of processing enterprises: material and labor. The chain indexes of these indicators are calculated. It is shown that the technological component of qualitative changes in processing enterprises is directly related to the technical level of industrial technologies. The dynamics and nature of changes in industrial technologies are established by comparison of the average values of indices of consumption of productive resources. In recent years, technology has become more material-intensive and less salary-(labor)intensive. It was found out that in objective conditions of scientific and technical development and the replacement of this kind of live labor, "under-armament" of labor goes against the modern practice of effective management. The fact of the transition of quantitative changes in the activity of industrial enterprises in the qualitative level is determined. It is the change of the nature of industrial technologies. The fact of adaptation of industrial enterprises to market conditions is proved in such a way that more intensive exploitation of labor resources compensates for the accumulation of depreciation of fixed assets.
