STILISTIC OF TRICKSTER CARNEVAL FIGURE (AS EXEMPLIFIED IN BROUTHER GRIMMS FAIRY TALES)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the stylistic features of Brothers Grimm fairy tales represented for the first time from the point of carnival worldview reflected through specific kind of poetics – the Carnival poetics. The analysis of special literature, devoted to the problem of carnival science proved the absence of a common opinion among scientists in terms of solving this problem. One group of scientists, represented by L.Pinsky, J.Mann, bases its research upon the M.M. Bakhtin theory and continue to consider carnival as a global phenomenon, which is typical for all the ages and cultures. The results of their research have been reflected in concepts of literary theorists, that studied the influence of carnival traditions on the works of modern writers. Other scientists, such as O. Gurevich, B.Groys refuse to admit the “global” nature of carnival and consider the Bakhtin theory rather as a “scientific myth”. The concept of „Trickster “is defined in detail, and this place in the linguo-cognitive structure of German fairy tales is reconsidered. Trickster can overcome any fear thank to his naiveté on one hand and confidence and even insolence on the other hand. There are also the figures of the giant, king, princess in the focus of carnival. The main character of the fairy tale is identified by the synonymous line of lexical items, which reflect his carnival nature with the elements of chaos and fun. The factual material, that has been analyzed, proves fully the hypothesis of carnival origin and the carnival nature of folk German fairy tales. It is identified, that the stylistics of fairy tales contributes to implementation of comic modality and is aimed at the creation of carnival atmosphere in a literary work. The linguistic means of all language levels contribute to this process – beginning with lexical, word-formative, phraseological if this is about the elements of language game and ending with textual and logic-situational level. On the text level there are various stylistic marks, for example epithet, antithesis, comparison and so on, the application of which creates the incongruity in fairy tales.
