Strategic environmental assessment: contentanalysis of the essence of the concept

Abstract
The article is devoted to the issue of Strategic Environmental Assessment in the context of objectivity of defining the essence of its concept. Ukrainian legislation as well as international legal acts have been analyzed. Existing scientific views on the interpretation of the definition of «Strategic Environmental Assessment» are considered and an author's approach to its formulation is presented.
