Strategies, techniques and technologies of foreign languages teacher’s positive professional image-making

Abstract

The article deals with the image-making strategies, techniques and technologies, borrowed from different fields and adapted to pedagogical image-making. The feasibility of applying them for constructing a positive foreign languages teacher’s professional image was justified. The effectiveness of using such strategies as “universal image”, “target image”, “creative explosion” in the process of foreign language teachers’ image-making was emphasized. Implementing such techniques as creating a bright and recognizable image, forming a positive attitude, enhancing image was recognized as useful. Сompensatory, expritional, pro¬longed, corrective, selective technologies as well as separate technologies for political image-making, adapted to the pedagog¬ical sphere, are revealed to be effective in Foreign languages teacher’s professional image-making.
