STUDIES CHIP FORMATION PROCESS

Journal Title: World Science - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 5

Abstract

This article discusses the problem of chip formation during rotary processing. When considering the features of the chip formation process during rotary machining, the mechanism of formation and formation of a very characteristic chip shape was proposed (Fig. 1). A chip that has a similar shape in cross-section can be obtained except when tapping, but this process and the rotational processing are very different. When cylindrical milling with milling cutters having an inclination of the helical line, both with the "counter" and "passing" cutting, the shape of the chips is still different (if not by shape, then by the formation and formation mechanism).
