Study of the spiritual transcendence relationship with religious against in Payame Noor University

Abstract

Spiritual transcendence refers to a person’s endeavor for building up a comprehensive meaning about the final end of life and death. In order to find out the Relationship between Spiritual transcendence and religious Coping among Payam-e-Noor University (PNU) students of Ardebil ;a study was done among about 8000 students studying in the second semester of current academic year (2009-2010) in Ardabil Payam Noor University ,but just about 400 of them were selected through cluster random Method as a statistical sample. Sample size was calculated in accordance with Gerjesy-Morgan table, where a is = 0.05. The research went on correlated - descriptive method. Required data was collected using the following questionnaire 1): Spiritual transcendence measurement with = 0.95 reality 2) A scale contains 14 Question of religious contrast with = 87/0 reliability. Collected data was descriptively reported at first. The research questions were analyzed using the t- test Single sample, Kai square test, Pearson correlation test and logistic regression tests. The analysis showed that the average of spiritual transcendence and its components including unity, spiritual relationship (except among male students), and spiritual success are significantly higher than average among male and female students. Meanwhile spiritual relationship status among male students is average. Among these subjects 5 Percentage had negative coping style and 95 Percentage had positive coping style. In addition, the spiritual transcendence was not a good method for explaining the significant meaningful contrast styles.
