Study on the development of multicomponent dry uroholum extract and its pharmaco-technological indicators

Abstract
Aim. To provide an experimental substantiation of the technological regimen for obtaining a multicomponent dry extract and study its pharmaco-technological indicators. Results. The term “essential-oil” plants appeared in the 20-30’s of the last century and encompasses plants that synthesize so-called essential oils in high quantities. For centuries, people gathered plants in the wild for treatment, gradually accumulating inexhaustible experience of folk medicine. In recent decades, various herbal species, mixtures, extracts, infusions are used in official medicine, preventive medicine, in producing decorative cosmetics, for stopping bleeding, wound healing, as an antiseptic, for regulating the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, urinary tract, heart, and as hypnotics and sedative means, vitamin supplements, etc., which relate, first of all, to the awareness of plant products “soft” effects, the possibility of long-term use and combination with synthetic origin drugs. In Ukraine, there are currently 615 herbal medicinal products registered with over 200 types of plant material, which is about 5 % of all registered, with 76 % of domestic registration, which are produced predominantly in solid forms, rarely liquid (tinctures, extracts) dosage forms. The experimental substantiation of the technological regimen for obtaining a multicomponent dry extract was based on the study of its physico-chemical and technological properties. The physical-chemical and pharmaco-technological properties of the model samples of uroholum dry extract, as well as its mixtures with auxiliary substances were determined: moisture, bulk density and bulk density after shrinkage, fractional composition. According to the results of experimental studies technology was developed and a technological scheme for obtaining the uroholum, dry extract was prepared, as well as the critical parameters of its production were determine. Conclusions. The physical-chemical and pharmaco-technological properties of the model samples of uroholum dry extract, as well as its mixtures with auxiliary substances were determined: moisture, bulk density and bulk density after shrinkage, fractional composition. According to the results of experimental studies, technology was developed and a technological scheme for obtaining the uroholum, dry extract was prepared, as well as the critical parameters of its production were determined.
