Sustainable Tourism and Local Development: Analysis of Effective Public Policies

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the influence of public policies in tourism on the local development of the Kuélap-Valle de Huayabamba corridor, Amazonas region, 2023. The research was basic, non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive-explanatory indesign, aligned with the eighth and thirteenth Sustainable Development Goals, regarding decent work and economic growth, as well as climate action. The population was 603 tourism operators and the sample was 130. The data collection technique was the survey and the questionnaire as an instrument. The results determined that the calculated significance value was 0.005 < 0.05, likewise, the Nagelkerke test of 0.954 indicates that the independent variable explains or influences 95.4% of the dependent variable. Concluding that public policies in tourism are fundamental for the local development of the Kuélap-Valle de Huayabamba corridor, significantly influencing the economic, political and environmental dimensions
