Symbolism in Notifications of Artificial Products in Phraseological Systems of Ukrainian, German and English Languages

Abstract

The article is devoted to the important task of studying the national-linguistic identity of phraseological systems, because every language is characterized by the uniqueness of the plan of expression and thus it sets the national coloring of the language. The urgency of the work is determined by the anthropological orientation of modern linguistics, and the issue of phraseologization to this day remains relevant and interesting for research. The purpose of the article is to study phraseological units of Ukrainian, German and English with components of the names of artifacts and their comparative analysis, which made it possible to establish the similarities and differences in linguistic world images of these languages. For the exploration, a thematic group of artifact denominations for naming various types of artificial products was chosen. Methods of analysis, synthesis and comparative method were used for the research. The results of the study showed that symbolical values of the names of artifacts in examined languages, which are part of the idiomatic expression, are characterized by both similarity and distinction. This is due to the mental features of Ukrainian, German and English ethnoculture. The processed factual material can be used when composing the dictionary of idiomatic expressions of Ukrainian, German and English languages.
