Synergetics of the instability and randomness in formation of gradient modified semiconductor structures
Journal Title: Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics - Year 2018, Vol 21, Issue 4
Abstract
The criteria for formation of an inhomogeneous structure based on vitreous Ge 2 S 3 with modifiers Al, Bi, Pb, Te that are identified due to changes in the condensed medium (evaporation temperature, condensation velocity, increasing or decreasing the intensity of the fluctuations of the active field) have been determined. The article analyzes the obtained equations describing formation of inhomogeneous amorphous structures and taking into account the dynamics of the concentration of modifier owing to the source of the atomic flow of a chemical element, structural heterogeneity (availability of vacancies, micropores) and particle diffusion. Computer simulation of the source of the atomic flow of the modifier has been carried out, which makes it possible to form gradient structures with the predicted distribution of the chemical element according to the film thickness. Morphology of gradient structure surfaces and the mechanism of condensation of modifiers Al, Bi, Pb, Te with the amorphous matrix of Ge 2 S 3 have been ascertained.

Optical properties of ternary alloys MgZnO in infrared spectrum
Properties of thin films of ternary alloys Mg х Zn 1–х O on the optically-anisotropic Al 2 O 3 substrates in the area of “residual rays” of film and substrate are first investigated using the method of infrared spectrosc...
Multiferroic based on nematic liquid crystal and nanoparticles
Multiferroics stable in morphological parameters has been created by introducing ferromagnetic (Fe2O3) and ferroelectric (LiNbO3) nanoparticles with the concentration 0.3 wt.% into nematic liquid crystal 6СНВТ. Being bas...
Infrared and terahertz in biomedicine
A number of potential advances of infrared and terahertz technologies in application mainly to biomedicine is shortly discussed. In spite of the fact that there are a number well established imaging and spectroscopic tec...
The influence of substrate temperature on properties of Cu-Al-O films deposited using the reactive ion beam sputtering method
For the first time, Cu-Al-O films were grown using the reactive ion beam sputtering at temperatures ranging from 80 to 380 °C in 50 °C increments. Correlations between the properties of as-grown films measured by X-ray d...
