Journal Title: Записки з українського мовознавства - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 24
Abstract
This article continues the study of case and grammar views by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko, as it is important to establish the fundamental conceptual basis for interpretation of the dative by scientists, observing the continuity of grammatical tradition and the importance of views of linguists in modern theoretical and morphological developments, that motivates the timeliness of the proposed analysis. The purpose - defining the dominance in the dative case in syntagmatic models, disclosuring the foundations of the dative case interpretations by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko. Objectives: 1) to check syntagmatic intentions of the dative in interpretations by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko; 2) to characterize structural and semantic features of the dative person of non-finite verb forms; 3) determination of the dative forms functional parameters, studied in the analysis of scientists. The novelty lays in defining of the dative interpretation in the works by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko. The objects of scientific study appear examinations of the dative by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko and the subject - interpretations by the linguists of the dative syntagmatics. Descriptive and interpretative, analytical and constructive, as well as modeling techniques were used as the basic ones. The theoretical value – providing of the main criteria of interpretation of the dative by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko, the clarification of its kinds in within the sentence structure. The practical significance was motivated by possibilities of application of results in a university study of syntax in Ukrainian and other Slavic and non-Slavic languages. The theoretical value was investigated in the process of establishing criteria for the interpretation of the dative by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko, and clarifying its intentions in case system. The practical significance of the study was defined by possibilities of using the results, achieved in the university study of syntax of Ukrainian and other Slavic and non-Slavic languages. Common in case-grammatical concepts by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko is the consideration of the dative through regular compatibility. The difference in the study of the dative by George Y. Shevelov and Yevhen Tymchenko is based on their linguistic paradigms. The analysis of case-morphological researches by the scientists is promising for uncovering the dynamics of grammatical views in all linguistic space, revealing the continuity of linguistic approaches.
