Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 5-{4'-[(4"-aryl)- -3"-cyano 2"-ethoxy pyridine-6"- yl] phenyl carbamido}-dibenz [b,f] azepines derivatives
Journal Title: International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Reserach - Year 2016, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
The titled compounds (4a-4k) have been synthesized by the condensation of 5-{4'-[(3"-aryl)-2"- Propene-1"-one]-Phenyl carbamido}-dibenz [b,f] azepines with malononitrile and Sodium ethoxide. The biological activities of these compounds have been determined against various Gram +ve, Gram –ve bacteria and fungi. The constitutions of the products are supported by IR, 1 H NMR, Mass spectra and elemental analysis.
