Teacher development and the 2020 pandemic in Peru

Abstract

The article deals with the state of regular basic education in Peru at the end of 2019, the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused the implementation of virtual education. The objective of the article is to evaluate public policies in Regular Basic Education of the National Educational Project by 2021. The methodology includes the management of documents on public policies based on qualitative indicators, selecting, reviewing and analyzing printed and digital books, articles located in Google Books, Google Scholar, Dialnet and SciElo and journalistic notes from the period 2002 to 2020, citing and referencing by APA standards. It was concluded that the goals of the Project were not achieved, leaving the culmination of the school year at serious risk, so it is recommended to plan education correctly
