Technical and economic indicators of electricity production by load-following NPP
Journal Title: Проблеми загальної енергетики - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue 1
Abstract
Dependence of technical and economic indicators from NPP operation in load-following mode is analyzed in the article. Increasing part of renewables, namely wind and PV, in the Ukrainian power sector generating intermittent electric power leads to increased requirements to integrated electric grid stability by using more load-following generators. Implementation of load-following modes at NPP that was designed as base-load is an accepted practice, for example in Germany and France and could be used in Ukraine. The estimation of electricity production costs generated by existing in Ukraine and perspective mid-power load-following NPP were calculated using deterministic and stochastic mathematical method.

New models of equilibrium prices in the theory of intersectoral balance
We have performed a detailed investigation of the properties of the model that is used in numerous present-day publications on the theory of intersectoral balance and is called the model of equilibrium prices. We have pr...
Analysis of dynamic processes of heat energy accumulation in the centralized heating systems
Use of thermoelectric generators in the centralized heating systems for the regulation of frequency and real power in Ukraine's interconnected system represents one of the most promising areas. The cyclical pattern of th...
Actual potential of the maneuvering power of the Ukrainian CHP with introduced electrothermal regulators
One of the sharp problems of the United Power System of Ukraine is the shortage of maneuvering power. It is particularly significant during the "night dip" of the electrical load diagram and results in the forced stop of...
Assessment of critical scenarios on the receipt of investments for the development of Ukrainian generating capacities
We analyze the existing plans and programs for the development of generating capacities of the Ukrainian UPS and, on this basis, form the variants of prospects of their implementation depending on the amount of financing...
Determination of the efficiency of electric power production by nuclear power plants using the methodology of full energy costs. Part 1. Energy costs for construction
The results of a study on the determination of the efficiency of electric power generation by nuclear power plants with VVER-1000 reactors based on the full energy cost methodology are presented. The methodology for dete...
