TECHNOLOGIES OF FORMING PERSONALITY AND EVALUATIVE-BASED COMPONENT OF FUTURE NAVIGATOR’S COMPETITIVENESS

Abstract
The article deals with the essence of the development technologies of confidence in future independent successful professional activity and formation skills of self-presentation in the context of forming competitiveness of a future navigator, which is of current interest. Modern labor market requires the creation of such technologies for professional development, which will enable university graduates, involving into the world of production and management, to achieve a high level of competitiveness. Competitive professionals much easier adapt to the demands of the social environment, achieve higher levels of personal and professional development. The article reveals some peculiarities of professional and employment activities of navigator, which by its nature is specific and polyfunctional. The activity of a marine officer as a navigator takes place under conditions which are unfavorable for life and is characterized by the complexity of the job functions, responsibility for human lives and material assets on the background of personal risk. Ukrainian marine officers have to apply for a job in the crewing company where their professionalism, competence, business and personal qualities should attract employers and facilitate the conclusion of contracts. To solve business and communication problems, the future navigators should possess a set of necessary knowledge, skills and personal qualities. The article considers such technologies as: formation of future navigators’ confidence and their willingness to independent successful professional activity and technology of the self-presentation. Future navigators need to be self-confident, that is to possess a stable definite personal quality because he not only makes navigation more often in difficult natural conditions in long-term foreign voyage, but also manages the crew, is responsible for the safety of both crew members and cargo on board. The article provides the structure of technology on forming confidence of future navigators, its principles, objectives and the essence of the workshop “confident behavior”. The abovementioned technology made it possible to form one of the mini components of cadets’ competitiveness and preparedness for the future independent professional activity and support their desire for consistency and stability in the manifestation of self-confidence, determination, perseverance in the professional and personal growth. Also, the article discusses the essence of technology of self-presentation which includes the use of strategies and techniques of self-presentation. As a result of the use of the training of self-presentation, future navigators formed the following skills: the ability to come in contact with representatives of the marine crewing companies, to establish business communication, while showing confident behavior and self-regulation, and the ability to effectively represent themselves as professionals. The mentioned technologies enable future navigators to develop skills and personal qualities necessary for successful participation in the competition with rivals while applying for a job in foreign crewing companies.
