Temporal organization of the speech act of command (on the material of the English shipping discourse)

Abstract
The article deals wih the investigation of temporal component of intonation organization of English standard commands used in the process of professional maritime communication which are an integral part of the shipping discourse. The electroacoustic analyses based on the author's classification of words of command made і possible to reveal the contribution of tempo and pauses to the intonation organization of different lands of Engtsh words of command.
