TEST EXAMINATIONS AS AN INNOVATIVE FORM OF ASSESSING OF THE QUALITY OF STUDENTS’ KNOWLEDGE

Abstract
Test examinations is one of the most widespread methods of assessing and testing knowledge in the whole world, not only in the education system, but in any other sector, where knowledge testing is required. The article proves the relevance of the application of test examinations in new and innovative approaches, as the criteria for both the preparation of the younger generation for social life and the assessment of their knowledge are changing. In Azerbaijan test examinations are applied not only during the education year, but also when applicants enter the university. The tests meet many criteria of cognitive thought process of students. The tests are actively applied in the colloquiums and seminars. It was concluded though, that the tests should meet the stylistic requirements and pedagogical equivalence. Prospects for the development of innovative forms of the educational process depend to a large extent on the degree of use of computer testing, including distance education.
