Tests, testing and assessment – what has changed over the last 25 years
Journal Title: Educational Psychology - Year 2015, Vol 49, Issue 7
Abstract
Discussing the changes that have taken place over the last 25 years, the Authors first point to the significant increase in the number of tests – legally available and properly developed in terms of psychometrics – which can be used in psychological assessment. Special attention is given to tools used in child and youth assessment. Also, favorable transformations are stressed which have taken place in the consciousness of test users and have brought about changes in their attitudes to psychometric issues, copyright regulations and assessment standards.
