The concept rika/ river in the paremiological world image of the Ukrainian and Englishspeaking ethnoses

Abstract
The article focuses on the research of the linguocultural peculiarities of the concept rika/river in the paroemias of the Ukrainian and English languages. On the basis of the contrastive paremiological analysis the universal and ethnospecific cognitive features of the given concept have been revealed. In addition to this, its structure, conceptual, evaluative and figurative components have been outlined.
