THE CREATIVE WORK OF V.D. ORLOVSKY, THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PLEIAD OF ARTISTS OF THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL SCHOOL OF LANDSCAPE PAINTING (1842-1914)

Abstract
Vladimir Donatovich Orlovsky (1842-1914), a contemporary of the largest representatives of Russian art of the second half of the XIX century, is one of the masters of the Russian national school of landscape painting. Along with M.K. Klodt, I.I. Shishkin, A.K. Savrasov and his other contemporaries, V.D. Orlovsky belongs to the group of Russian landscape painters who instead of depicting romantic ruins and beautiful landscapes began to paint pictures of their native nature. His work was closely connected with the artistic life not only of St. Petersburg, but also of Ukraine, where he spent many years.
