THE DEPENDENCE OF BRASS HARDNESS MEASUREMENT SYSTEM ON TIME
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2007, Vol 14, Issue 4
Abstract
Measurement system analysis (MSA) was used for estimation of hardness (HBS) measure- ment system capability. The time dependence of capability was evaluated. Experimental material Cu-Zn-Al cast alloy was used as shape memory alloy. The average and range method with 2 appraisers, 10 samples and 3 trials (indentations). was used to quantify repeatability (% EV), reproducibility (% AV) and part variation (% PV - variation between samples). The measurement was repeated 5 times in intervals of 7 days. As the values of %GRR are between 89.4% and 63.7% and values of "ndc" between 0.71 and 1.71 the used hardness measurement system is not capable and it depends heavily on the long-term variability.

MEASUREMENT OF COMPLEX CONDUCTIVITY IN CARBON NANOTUBE POLYMER COMPOSITES UNDER MECHANICAL SHEAR
We measured the complex conductivity of carbon nanotube-polypropylene composites under mechanical shear conditions. In order to determine how flow alters the properties of these complex fluids we constructed a rheo-diel...
DESIGN OF A THERMAL WATTMETER IN THE AUDIO FREQUENCY RANGE
This paper describes the development of a system for the measurement of power in the audio frequency range. Flexible units operating with a strategy based on the evaluation of rms quantity by a thermal method have been c...
DYNAMICS OF CONTACT THERMOMETRIC SENSORS WITH ELECTRIC OUTPUT AND METHODS OF ITS IMPROVEMENT
The paper deals with selected aspects of modelling dynamic properties of contact thermometric sensors and reducing the dynamic error occurring in measurement of time-variable temperature as well as in measurement of cons...
CONDUCTANCE QUANTIZATION IN FERROMAGNETIC CO NANOWIRES
Room temperature electronic transport properties of ferromagnetic quantum wires have not been yet fully understood, and the role of electronic structure of magnetic atoms in the conductance quantization is still under di...
NONLINEAR CURRENT OSCILLATIONS IN A JOSEPHSON JUNCTION WITH FRACTAL RADIOISOTOPE COMPOSITES
We present a new form of the Josephson junction with dielectric layer containing radioisotopic inclusions. The presence of additional generators of ionization in a semiconducting material (due to α - particles emitted by...
