THE DEVELOPMENT OF “HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION DEPARTMENT PORTAL” INFORMATION SYSTEM

Abstract

Purpose. To create a university department computer system support in order to improve the quality of education this is an urgent issue now. Most EU countries and beyond are involved in solving this problem. Methodology. The RAD (Rapid Application Development) methodology has been used in creating an information system. This methodol- ogy covers all stages of the life cycle of modern information systems. Results. The project of automated information control system of higher education department has been suggested. The task of creating an information system division has been set to implement the recommendations of ENQA at the Department of Computer and Information Technolo- gies of Poltava Yuri Kondratyuk National Technical University. The information system will optimize the process of learning to expand opportunities for the analysis of results, to ensure transparency and objectivity in the process of training and qualification assessment of students, as a result, it will increase the level of public confidence in higher education. Originality. At the stage of information systems designing the main sections of requirements specification have been designed. Being realized, AIS structure corresponds to well-known management control pyramid of the ver- tical labour division. Practical value. An information system division has been created to optimize the process of learn- ing, enhance the ability to analyze results, ensure transparency and objectivity in the process of training and qualifica- tion assessment of students, as a result, help increase public confidence in higher education.
