APPLICATION OF ASCA FOR THE PURPOUSES OF IDENTIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT SOURCES OF HARMONIC DISTORTION

Abstract

Purpose. One of the most important components of the electricity market is its instrumental support, which is a set of systems, appliances, devices, communication channels, algorithms, etc. for monitoring and controlling the parameters of energy consumption and power supply. The basis of the formation and development of instrumental support are automated systems of commercial account of electric power (ASCA). In addition to the purposes of controlling energy consumption and energy supply, ASCA s also advisable to use for solving problems of power quality control, identifying the sources of harmonic distortion and assessment the degree of participation of each subject of distribution system in the harmonics power distribution with aim to improve the quality and reliability of power supply of consumers and adjust the amount of payment for consumed electric power. Methodology. Software models of the electrical network with several harmonic sources and software models of electric counters with the features of metering of the power of harmonics was used. Results. In this paper, the questions the possibility of using automated ASCA to monitoring the voltage and current harmonic composition in distribution systems with aim to identify and assessment sources of harmonic distortion. The structural scheme of the ASCA of an industrial facility and its main components are considered. An algorithm is proposed for extension the features of electric counters, which allows to monitoring the harmonic com-position of the supplied electric power, to registration the power and energy of higher harmonics. The issues of the use of electric counters with the registration of power and energy of higher harmonics as component of ASCA was considered. Originality. For the first time, algorithms were proposed for calculating the power and energy of harmonic components with electric counters. A method and algorithm for metering electricity consumption by "transit" elements of the distribution system (cable lines, transformers) are proposed. Practical value. Hardware and software system with the features of harmonic`s power metering was developed.
