THE ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF THE REGION: INNOVATION CONSTITUENT

Abstract
The basic definitions of “innovative potential” as a component of the economic potential of the region are analyzed in the article. The basic components and conditions of its formation and development are determined. It was established that the basis of the formation of innovative potential is the level of development of human capital, the quality of which, in turn, depends on the efficiency of investments. Further prospects for the development of innovation potential and conditions for its involvement in the production process are outlined.
