THE EFFECT OF CHITOSAN AND PYTHIUM OLIGANDRUM USED IN PROTECTION OF POTATO TUBERS AGAINST LATE BLIGHT AND SOFT ROT
Journal Title: Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives - Year 2008, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
Obtained results from experiments indicate the possibility of use both preparations Pythium oligandrum and Biochikol 020 PC in the protection of potatoes against pathogens caused tubers’ diseases: Phytophthora infestans, Fusarium spp. and Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora. It could be suggested that effect of Biochikol 020 PC and Polyversum (applied as tubers’ dressing and four times plants spraying) was significantly higher in comparision to the control.

STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OV UV RADIATION ON BIODEGRADABLE BLENDS BASED ON CHITOSAN AND STARCH
The biodegradable blends of chitosan and starch with different component ratios were prepared by casting method. Obtained thin films were UV-irradiated (λ = 254 nm) and changes in chemical structure were monitored using...
INFLUENCE OF IMIDASOLIUM RING SUBSTITUTION ON CHITIN DISSOLUTION IN IONIC LIQUIDS
Presented paper discuss the influence of substitution of imidasolium ring on the solubility and structure of chitin. The 1-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium chloride (BMIM)(Cl) and the 1-butyl-2,3- dimethyl imidazolium chloride...
UTILIZATION OF BIODEGRADABLE POLYMERS FOR PERIPHERAL NERVE RECONSTRUCTION
Peripheral nerve injuries are one of frequent cause of disability. Results of surgical procedures are not still completely satisfactory, though fast development of microsurgical technician improve their efficiency. One o...
BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF THERMOSENSITIVE CHITOSAN GELS CONDITIONING IN WATER
In this paper the properties of thermosensitive chitosan hydrogels prepared with the use of chitosan salz (chloride and lactate) and -glycerophosphate are presented. Biological studies were carried out on thermogels wit...
THE USE OF ACTIVE CARBON IMMOBILISED ON CHITOSAN BEADS FOR RB5 AND BV10 DYE REMOVAL FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
This paper presents the adsorption of dyes – the anionic Reactive Black 5 (RB5) and cationic Basic Violet 10 (BV10) dyes – on activated carbon (AC) immobilised on chitosan (CHs). The results were compared with the remova...
