Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2016, Vol 10, Issue 6

Abstract

The aim of this research was to examine the effect of E5 instructional model on educational achievement of male fourth grade students in experimental science course in Shush. In terms of objective, it is an applied research using pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study design with control group. The statistical population includes male fourth grade students of Shush in 2012-13 school year and a sample size 40 fourth grade students falling into two classes each of with an equal number of students (20) was determined. Purposive sampling method was used, out of which one class was the experimental group and the other one was the control group. A researcher-made test was used as the research instruments. In order to test the hypothesis, the analysis of covariance was drawn upon. The findings showed that the effect of E5 instructional model on educational achievement of male fourth grade students in experimental science course was higher than that of traditional teaching method (post-test; F=8.859 and significance level; p = 0.05 > 0.005).
