THE ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTIC OF MUSICAL AND AESTHETIC UPBRINGING SYSTEM OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The essential characteristic of musical and aesthetical upbringing system of children and youth in Ukraine and the peculiarities of its development in the XX century, which left a significant musical and pedagogical heritage with difficult and ambiguous in nature phenomena are revealed in the article. In addition, it is revealed that in the first part of the century the broad state system of extracurricular activities was formed and number of music and art schools, among which a special status was given to schools for gifted children, increased. It was a period of innovations: a unique system of musical and aesthetical education was formed, and its basic methods, tasks and ways of interaction between general, additional and specialized education were distinguished. It is justified, that the system of musical and aesthetical upbringing in Ukraine is an important part of educational system, in which, on the base of dialectical interaction of national Ukrainian culture’s material and spiritual components in the process of musical activity not only Ukrainian and world musical culture is assimilated by young generations, but also the humanistic culture of personality is formed. It is revealed, that the notion of musical and aesthetical upbringing system should be understood in two meanings, which are closely interrelated: as a state administrative system and as a pedagogical process with elaborated principles and methods of education, in which on the base of close interaction the holistic complex of musical and aesthetical upbringing various elements is aimed to develop the musical and aesthetic culture of rising generation.
