THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FIRST REGULAR ARMY IN THE ISLAMIC HISTORY

Abstract
The beginning of the political and military structuring and its most important leitmotif is the establishment of diwan. The formation of military service was based on volunteers during the periods of The Prophet Muhammad and Abu Bakr assumed the form of military conscription when the diwan first was established under the Caliph Omar. In this way, the basic steps were taken towards the establishment of the regular army. In connection with this development, conquests got widespread, and the increasing revenues led to the improvement of the army in a more systematic manner. This article will deal with the establishment of the first regular army in the Islamic history.
