The examination of the problems of compilation a MA thesis with emphasis on Sport management

Abstract

This study was conducted with ((the main purpose)) of the problems of compilation of a master's thesis from the perspective of Islamic Azad University students, Area 3. ((Research Method)) was descriptive and from view point of research purpose has been applicable. Statistical population of research was the universities of Area 3 (Mazandaran), and included 130 students of Physical Education (Sports Management) and the statistical sample based on Morgan's table are 98 people which has been selected randomly. ((Data's Measuring Tools)) a questionnaire has been prepared that, its formal admissibility and content is verified by related professors. And its permanence has been calculated by Cronbach's Alpha to 89%. ((Data Analysis)) By using descriptive and inferential statistics: Kolmogorv - Smirnov, T test, and Friedman's Ranking Test was performed and then was calculated by using software spss17. Results showed that respectively, the lack of financial resources, undesirable scientific abilities of students, unsuitable guidance quality of supervisor and advisor, unsuitable cooperation of universities and lack of scientific information resources from student's perspective, has been regarded as a problem. Also, this study has been showed that, there were no significant difference between the quality of supervisor and advisor at the level of P  0/001. Results also showed that, students are faced with many problems for developing a thesis, that, requires special attention and planning.
