The Influence of the Carbon Content on the Depth of the Carbonitrurat Layer in Fluidized Layer for 1C15, 1C25 and 1C45 Steels
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2016, Vol 39, Issue 3
Abstract
This paper presents the experimental research of carbonitriding thermochemical processing in fluidized layer performed on some samples of carbon steel with different carbon contents, the fluidized layer being made up of a mixture of quartz sand and gases (methane, ammonia and air). The thermochemical treatments have been carried out over a time period of two hours and thirty minutes for all temperatures considered for the study. An important parameter of this type of thermochemical processing was also represented by the ratio of methane and ammonia that influenced the final results of the research. The research results revealed the influence of the carbon content of the steels investigated on the thickness values of the carbonitrided layer for samples investigated.

Mercury Determination from Incidentally Polluted Waters by Collecting Gravimetry in Organic Stage Method
Determination of mercury in incidentally polluted waters, presented in CALIST Program, was carried out using tiobis-β-naphthol as a reagent. The method proposed for mercury determination, named “collecting gravimetry in...
Mechanical and Tribological Properties of TiCxOy Thin Films
The main purpose of this work consists on the preparation of single layered titanium oxycarbide, TiCxOy, thin films, deposited by d.c. reactive magnetron sputtering. The depositions were carried out from a TiC solid targ...
Intercritical Thermomechanical Treatments of the Microalloyed Steel Products for Welded Structures
This paper shows the laboratory experiments made on several grade steels by applying some intercritical thermomechanical treatments; Two variants were used: “down-up” thermomechanical treatment with heating and rolling i...
The Monitoring of Chattering in Cold Rolling Mill System With Five Stands for Thin Strip
