The influence of the language question on the development of the humanities education in the Carpathian Rus

Abstract
The foundation of the development in the humanities is a language. It is perceived as a medium of national values, which aremirrored in historical and cultural heritage, ethnomental and religious artefacts. The article deals with the development peculiaritiesin the humanities curriculum of Transcarpathia in 1919-1939, during the problematic period called «the language question». It alsodeals with difficult circumstances which were caused by opposition between representative of different schools concerning «thelanguage question» such as Russophiles, Rutheniam and Narodovets movment (Ukrainians).
