THE INFORMATION VALUE OF THE SCIENTIFIC ARCHIVE OF INSTITUTE OF ARCHAEOLOGY OF NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF UKRAINE IN THE MOVEMENT OF CATALOGING OF BOSPORUS TERRACOTTAS OF DEMETER AND KORE-PERSEPHONE

Abstract
The article is dedicated to informativity of reports of archaeological excavations stored in the Scientific archive of IA NASU while making a catalogue of Bosporus terracottas of Demeter and Kore-Persephone. This is important because the task of cataloguing of archaeological findings is one of the main branches in archaeology. Nowadays the questions of ancient terracotta typology take on special urgency of researchers. Terracotta is the main source for the study of religions in Bosporus. During the excavation of cities and necropolis, a lot of terracotta of Demeter and Kore-Persephone was found. Terracotta Demeter and Cora Persephone need to systematize. Some the information of Bosporus terracottas found in scientific reports. This brief information is about the fund of scientific reports and characteristics of reports related to the Bosporus. The author points out the type of information descriptions of statues contain in reports and defines most common downsides that impede the use of information from reports of archaeological excavations in research practice.
