The ınvestigation of feeding condition of ınfants aged between 0-6 monthes<p>0-6 ay arası bebeği olan annelerin bebek beslenme durumlarının incelenmesi

Abstract
A descriptive research was carried out in order to evaluate the factors influencing mothers’ and their infants’ nutritional status of mothers having 0-6 months-old infants. Population and sample of the study was composed of 200 mothers with 0-6 months-old infants who voluntarily participated in the research when they went to paediatric department of two private hospitals in Karaman between 15th July, 2013 and 15th August, 2013. The questionnaire form was filled in by the researcher by interviewing the patients face-to-face. The collected data in the research were analysed through SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 15.0 version. Definitive statistical methods (number, percentage, average, standard deviation and chi-square test) were used to evaluate the data.The age range of the mothers taking part in the research was mainly between 19 and 24. 54.5 % of the babies were baby girls while 45.5 % of them were baby boys. The age (month) average of babies was 4,9 ± 0,16 (min: 0 month; max: 6 months). 94,5 % of the mothers were still breastfeeding their infants. 19 % of the mothers participating in the study were feeding their infants with supplementary food. The higher the education status of the mothers was, the more inclined they were to breastfeed their infants. There were found no meaningful correlation among the number of children, ages of mothers and breastfeeding, but training the mothers was established to effectively influence mothers to breastfeed their infants. It is strongly believed that the use of pacifier will be erroneous during the training of breastfeeding and so it should be abstained.Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file. Özet 0-6 ay arası bebeği olan annelerin bebeklerinin beslenme durumunu ve etkileyen faktörleri değerlendirmek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. Araştırmanın evreni ve örneklemini Karaman’da iki özel hastaneye 15 Haziran 2013-15 Ağustos 2013 tarihleri arasında başvuran 0-6 ay arası bebeği olan araştırmayı gönüllü olarak kabul eden 200 anne oluşturdu. Anket formu yüz yüze görüşülerek araştırmacı tarafından dolduruldu. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 15,0 programı kullanılarak analiz edildi. Verileri değerlendirilirken tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metotlar (sayı, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma, ki-kare) kullanıldı.Araştırmaya katılan annelerin yaş aralığı daha çok 19-24 aralığında bulunmaktaydı. Bebeklerin %54,5’ini kız, %45,5’ini erkek çocuğu oluşturmaktaydı. Bebeklerin yaş (ay) ortalaması 4,9±0,16 (min: 0 ay; maks: 6 ay) dır. Annelerin %94,5 ‘i bebeklerini halen emzirmekteydi. Araştırmaya katılan annelerin %19’u bebeklerine ek gıda vermekteydi. Annelerin eğitim düzeyi yükseldikçe anne sütü ile beslenmenin arttığı görüldü. Çocuk sayısı, anne yaşı ile anne sütü verme arasında anlamlı ilişki olmadığı, emzirme eğitiminin anne sütü ile beslemeyi olumlu etkilediği belirlendi. Anne sütü ile beslenme eğitimlerinde emzik kullanımının hatalı olacağı fikri benimsetilmeli.
