The legal nature of the contract in the system of civil law categories: dogmatic traditions and modern understanding.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the definition of the legal nature and place of contracts in the system of civil law institutes, the consideration of the category “contract” in the legal doctrine, the specificity of the legal principles of the contractual regulation of social relations. The article analyzes the existing legal approaches to understanding the category and characteristics of the contract, defines the concept of civil law regulation of contractual relations, determines the trends and prospects for their regulation in the legislation of Ukraine.
