Abstract

The study deals with the implementation of interregional cooperation projects in Poland undertaken under measure 421 Leader’s approach 2007-2013. The aim of the article was to determine the spatial differentiation of the amount of public funds disbursed and to indicate the effects and barriers of the cooperation. Total 223 projects have been implemented, interregional projects have definitely prevailed. A total of 48.2 million PLN were spent, the largest in the Małopolskie, Wielkopolskie and Mazowieckie voivodships. The material effects of the cooperation were small, but there was a strengthening of social capital, especially bridging and linking. The barriers were more frequent in international cooperation, these were the high costs associated with cooperation, and the legal and formal requirements that existed in different countries.
